A good site needs time to evolve

On this domain (bitclix) we have started a blogging platform about 1.5 years ago. After about 6 months, people started spamming us with all kind of adult or gambling links. I tried hard to keep up and prevent that crap with CAPTCHA (the little images you must type in, when posting), but it did not help!

Around June last year (2006) I decided to kill the domain and removed the whole installation to let the domain park with a blank page. Then finally in January I got the time to restart and publish this nice application here.

Since then the traffic is only slowly evolving, despite the fact, that we have a lot of incoming links and already some good pages with content online.

This is a good example, how Google looses all its trust in a domain, if you blank it out. Starting with new content on a domain, which has been online before is like starting with a brand new domain. It needs time and trust from the search engines to rise in rankings. I expect this domain to take another 3-6 month until it is finally coming out!
